Following Sin’s successful brand and campaign for The Rocket, Robina Group now focused on a new commercial office building right next door. As part of the same complex, the client wanted a name and brand that connected to The Rocket and its ‘momentum’ brand.

Sin came up with ‘The Base’, which suited the smaller building perfectly. Playing off the space theme of the Rocket, The Base is the nerve centre of control - a powerful hub of momentum.

To compete against other A-grade ‘corporate’ office buildings in the Gold Coast area, Sin steered away from the predictable sophisticated luxury pitch and brands that are aimed at lawyers and accountants. With an angular architectural design and industrial-tech fitout, it was clear this was not all about the plush carpet and wood grain walls.

Sin took inspiration from this for a brand of dynamic shapes, diagonal lines, and angular typography, creating a post industrial look that mixes concrete, glass and urban grunge with the latest technology. Using visual design cues from the angular block design of mid 2000’s Range Rovers, and offset by the powerful colours of yellow and black to demand attention, we challenge our audience to step up and be different. This is a brand that launches them into the momentum reserved for those operating at maximum velocity. Bold, fast-paced, challenging.
